Separation of Instinct from Love and Sobriety

The second painting in the Realm has a theme of separation, intentionally setting the two sides of the painting against each other in a juxtaposition of love and its end. The vortex in between the two sides swirl together sections of color that have flecks of the one from the other side, leading beyond, to another place where all is obscured. Symbolically confusing and pointless imagery in the corners to emphasize the fleeting meaninglessness of supposed connection that never withstands time.
